Piperine Description:

Piperine is a broad-spectrum anticonvulsant drug that has a good antagonistic effect on experimental electroconvulsive seizures in mice. It has varying degrees of antagonistic effects on seizures and audiogenic seizures caused by pentylenetetrazol, tetrandrine, as well as intraventricular injection of tromethamine and glutamate. Clinical trials have shown therapeutic effects on certain types of epilepsy in a certain chemical book. There is a folk formula for treating epilepsy called "white pepper and radish" in China, and a structurally simplified piperine analogue 3- (3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl) acryloyl piperidine (trade name anti epileptic) has been artificially synthesized.
